Note that I excluded soundtracks from consideration and the tally for the current decade is a projection based on rate of growth.
The track number values are likely based on a "Quality of Decade X Proximity to Current Date" formula (where greater proximity allows for greater value). This would justify the gentle exponential curve present for all decades except for the 80s, which sucked.
